Dear Sir,
                                                                                  Ross: Cult Hater

I did not understand your somewhat cryptic message. You refer to me, if I err not, as Bruce, and refer me to a link which seems to refer to a gentleman by the name of Bruce?
Let me assure you, sir, that I am not Bruce, and that my intention is far different from his- if I understood his intent from the link which you graciously sent to me.
It is my goal to continuously put up information on the work you are doing, and optimizing my expose "Rick Ross" web sites so that the world will get a true picture of who you are....
while this is occurring, you may, yourself, glean a few relevant facts or insights that may indeed be helpful to you.
Somehow, it seems you have taken it upon yourself to attack the cherished beliefs of a good number of people, and categorically label them as "cults".
Some of your definitions and categorizations seem a bit hazy to me, however, I am a believer in free speech, and if you wish to call a group a "cult" and "dangerous" that is your prerogative, of course.
It may also be your means to an income.
You may also have so much invested in calling so many millions of people followers of "cults"- that it is impossible for you to redirect your energies. I do not know.....
In any event, it strikes me that you need a watchdog, and the web needs a counterbalance to your activities- since you taint so many people - with, what seems to me, a certain recklessness and lack of careful concern for the truth....
So, as you have appointed yourself a watchdog of cults, I have appointed myself - in a manner of speaking - the public's watchdog on the subject of you - and the hate you seem to engender from your labeling of such a large segment of humanity - from Pentecostals, to Amish to Sikh's to Amway....
Of course, if you would like to talk on the phone, or discuss ways where you might tone down your virulent attacks on groups - and adopt a more reasoned, rational approach- less insulting and more diplomatic - to promote peace and intelligent persuasion... based on solid facts - I would be happy to participate in that.
Then, if there are actual dangers in certain groups- the truth will be so much more effective.
As a student of religions, and, for that matter, cults, many of the groups which you label as dangerous, I seem to know substantially more about than you do. Many of them, quite candidly - while they may promote belief's that I do not personally agree with, are far from dangerous. And as I believe in freedom of speech, I also believe in freedom of belief.
I do not believe much in brainwashing, and have seem very little of it, in spite of years of careful study of hundreds of religions and "cults". Of course, there are impressionable people everywhere - and they seem to join all kinds of groups - some renouncing their families and joining - like for instance a catholic priest, or a Swami. Some take on may wives - like a Muslim. and others following stupid media messages and getting tattoos, engaging in promiscuous sex, and emulating foolish role models on TV and music- which are possibly far worse.... but, as it stands, your message seems more of hate than love; more of self -concern than concern for the welfare of others... and your remedy seems at times far worse than the disease you claim to wish to cure.
If you, perhaps, undertook a more careful evaluation of the various groups you label as dangerous cults, you might have some real eye opening moments.
Unless, of course, your entire effort is done strictly for profit- which,
again, is your prerogative - but in the end will make you repugnant to all thinking people.
It is also my prerogative to evaluate your efforts - and continue to bring a remedy to your hatred and uninformed opinion - to people who seek to learn about you... however, in the interest of truth, I welcome a further discourse with you... and invite you to engage in it.
If you are interested in truth, we might study the groups you have labeled and try to get an objective understanding of them.... and then see how much real need there is for deprogramming.....

Yours,
Dr. William Harris
